(and a lot like the London Symphony Orchestra)

Hey Radical Health Seekers š
Unlike goji berries, leafy greens, and spirulina, organs are one of the few foods that genuinely deserve the superfood crown š
And in this weekās newsletter, weāre going to tell you exactly why.
Weāll talk about the three factors that make organs such powerful foods, including:
– The Quality Factor (or why organs are like the London Symphony Orchestra)
– The Quantity Factor (or why a little goes a long way)
– And the Unique Nutrient Factor (including nutritional dark matter)
Lets go!

Weāve always needed organs, and we still do.
Weāre not going to pretend organs taste as good as a seared ribeye or braised short ribsā¦ (kidney tastes like pee)
But there must be something incredibly special about organs because weāve been eating them for 2 million years.
And you only need to trace your lineage back a few generations, to find people who ate organs with deep appreciation. Even your grandparents probably ate them on the regular.
So letās take a closer look at what makes organs so special:
š
#1 The Quality Factor (or why organs are like the London Symphony Orchestra)
The nutrients in organs ā (and our supplements) are of a far higher quality than the nutrients you will find in plants and synthetic multivitamins.
Firstly, they come in the correct form our bodies have evolved to expect over millions of years, which means they are highly absorbable and bioavailable. This means a little goes a long way.
Secondly, they come accompanied by the necessary co-factors, enzymes and synergistic nutrients for optimum utilization.
Letās look at iron as an exampleā¦
Iron is an ESSENTIAL mineral that we need for energyā¦ yet almost 40% of American girls and young women have low iron šŖ«
If you know one of these unfortunate ladies, please tell this:
Iron in beef liver is heme-iron, which is the most bioavailable and absorbable type of iron you can get.
But the really incredible thing about organs like beef liver is that it packages itās iron with essential synergistic nutrients like Vitamin A and Copper, both of which are important for effective iron absorption and utilization.
Nature knows best
In contrast, iron in plants is NON-HEME iron which is far less bioavailable. It CANNOT compete with iron from liverā¦
And synthetic nutrients, whether they be an iron supplement or a generic multivitamin cannot compete with the nutrients from organs either. They are chemically synthesized in a lab, often from sources like coal tar and petroleumā¦
And they exist in isolation, lacking the crucial co-factors, enzymes, and accompanying nutrients found in organs.
Think of it like thisā¦ synthetic nutrients are akin to an amateur musician attempting to perform Beethovenās 9th Symphony on a guitar.
It might be recognizable, but itās not going to win a Grammy Award.
But the nutrients found in organs are like the London Symphony Orchestra performing to a packed houseā¦

Every musician is world-classā¦ and when they perform together they create something far greater than the sum of their parts. Itās a sonic wall of harmony š¼
#2 The Quantity Factor (a little goes a long way)
Besides containing the highest quality nutrients, organs also contain the greatest QUANTITY of nutrientsā¦ with organs like beef liver containing more micronutrients (aka vitamins and minerals) per calorie than just about every other food on the planet.
See how beef liver compares to its ribeye cousin:

You can see that beef liver has WAY more Vitamin A, Riboflavin, Biotin, Folate, Copper and Vitamin K2ā¦
And by including even a modest amount of organs in your diet, you gain access to a nutritional bounty that would be very difficult through other foods.
#3 The Unique Nutrient Factor
If you thought weād be so bold as to tell you we know everything there is to know about organs, then think again. Because itās believed that up to 99% of the biochemical components in our food are yet to be discovered, and itās likely that highly specialized organs like kidney, brain, and liver are brimming with this ānutritional dark matterā.
What we do know is that organs contain many unique nutrients that arenāt found in meaningful amounts in other foods, including growth factors, peptides and enzymes.
Letās look at a few:
Coenzyme Q10 (Heart)
Heart is the richest source of naturally occurring Coenzyme Q10, a powerful nutrient critical to energy production and exercise performance. And since our ability to produce CoQ10 declines with age, natural sources like heart can offer significant benefits in terms of maintaining consistent energy and crushing it in the gym. Fresh beef heart is great grilled, or find it in our WARRIOR supplement:

āI am 41 years old and in decent shape …. I train Brazilian jiu-jitsu and work out 4-5 times a week on average.
WARRIOR has far exceeded my expectations.ā
– Ishmael Cox
Diamine Oxidase (Kidney & thymus)
Kidney & thymus are two of the richest natural sources of diamine oxidase, an enzyme critical to histamine metabolism. Low serum diamine oxidase can lead to histamine intolerances including dust, pollen, pet and food allergies. Many people have found significant relief by consuming a natural source of diamine oxidase through kidney and thymus. This is why you will find both of these organs in our Histamine & Immune supplement.

āAs a young kid and into my teenage years I always took an allergy medication…. that is a thing of the past, I no longer suffer seasonal allergies. Histamine & Immune is the real deal!
– Nathan Johanneck
Phosphatidylserine and Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (Brain)
Brain contains phosphatidylserine and Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), two unique nutrients which have been shown to decrease mental stress and support cognition. You can read more about brain at our blog, and you can experience itās incredible benefits in our Mood, Memory & Brain supplement.

Closing Thoughts
We hope by now you can be confident youāre making the right decision by nourishing your body with organsā¦
Or that if you were previously skeptical, youāre now as convinced as Donald Trump š.
Swapping a synthetic multivitamin for organs is not some trivial decision like swapping your Ford for a Chevyā¦
Itās WAY bigger than that.
Because when you decide to nourish your body with the most nutrient-rich foods on the planet, you tap into millions of years of biological evolution. You unlock your genetic potential to live a life of optimal health, vitality and vigor.
Thatās all from us this week,
Stay radical!
