Issue #28: How to achieve radical health in 2023 | Heart & Soil Supplements

If you watch buffalo and cattle during a storm, you will notice they behave very differently…

The cows will try to run away from the storm, but it eventually catches up to them.

But the buffalo run into the storm, to get through it faster.

And when it comes to our health, the easiest option is to be like the cows and run away from our problems…

But your health is the most valuable thing you possess.

So be like the buffalo and face the storm instead of trying to run from it.

And if you’ve already signed up for Animal-Based 30, then you are 100% a buffalo.

Keep running into the storm because radical health awaits.

And to all you stragglers, there’s still time… Join us for Animal-Based 30, and make 2023 the year you change your life.

Issue #28: How to achieve radical health in 2023 | Heart & Soil Supplements

Are you a member of the 70% club?

Ask people what their health goals are, and they will probably say it is to lose 10, 20 or even 50 lbs.

Which isn’t surprising, because nearly 70% of Americans are obese or overweight.

And if you are a member of this 70% club, you’ve probably signed up for our Animal-Based 30 Challenge in the hope of losing some of this weight…

And if you are skeptical, we don’t blame you.

Because you’ve probably heard it all before…

You’ve probably been told 25 different ways to lose weight by 25 different people…

You’ve probably been told to eat low carb, high carb, low fat, high protein, or whatever you want so long as you restrict your calories…

You’ve probably been told to do fasted cardio, or none at all…

And you’ve probably been told to eat 6 small meals a day or only one.

All these methods may have worked temporarily, but if they actually worked, you wouldn’t still be in the 70% club would you?

The problem with these methods is they focus on weight loss and fail to address the most important issue:

Metabolic health.

But we do things differently around here.

We make health the priority.

Because when you prioritize your health, fat loss inevitably follows.

And by focusing on a high quality, nutrient dense diet first and foremost, it sets you up for success.

Your micronutrient tanks will be fully topped up thanks to all the organs you are eating…

You will be getting adequate and high quality protein from all of the meat you are eating.

And these two things matter when it comes to successful weight loss. Because they lead to satiety and metabolic health.

So be reassured that you are in the right place.  If you join us for AB30, and do an animal-based diet (& lifestyle), weight loss will happen.

But so will metabolic health, which is ultimately what will KEEP you lean and feeling amazing.

Soon enough you will be in the radical health club instead of the 70% club 💪

4 essentials to achieve radical health in 2023

#1 Know your why 📝

Why do you want to improve your health?

Having a strong and clear reason is important, especially when things get challenging.

So identify your why and write it down!

#2 Communicate with your family and friends 💬

Family and friends can be your greatest support, or your biggest barrier.

That’s why we believe having an open and honest conversation with them is important.

Tell them you are doing animal-based to prioritize your health…

If they express doubts or concerns, tell them a little about it.

Let them know you are experimenting for 30 days, and will share your results with them!

#3 Find a meal you love and eat it every day 🥩🍍

While there are many amazing animal-based meals you can eat, if you find something you really enjoy, don’t be afraid to eat that same meal every day.

This is what we do, and it keeps things simple, nutritious and delicious!

#4 Its a journey, not a race ⛰️

Long-term consistency always trumps short-term intensity (Bruce Lee said that, not us).

You have got to figure out a way to make these changes sustainable, enjoyable and life-long…

Do that and radical health is practically guaranteed!

When you sign up for AB30, you can discover how to do this with other radical health seekers in our AB30 community.

How to cook the perfect steak

Issue #28: How to achieve radical health in 2023 | Heart & Soil Supplements

This recipe uses the reverse sear method, and works best for thicker steaks, such as 1½-inch-thick rib eyes, T-bones, or New York strips!

Method

Generously season steaks with salt, and chill, uncovered, overnight.

Preheat oven to 275°F.

Place steaks on a wire rack in center of oven.

Bake steaks until internal temperature is:

105°F for rare, 115°F for medium-rare, 125°F for medium, or 140°F for medium-well.

Check temperature with a thermometer after 15 minutes and then every 5 minutes until desired temperature is reached.

Then remove the steaks from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.

Next, heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat, add 1 tablespoon of tallow (or ghee) and heat until slightly smoking.

Add the steaks to the hot skillet and sear on each side for 1 minute.

If desired, add more tallow/butter to the skillet and baste the steaks while searing.

Season the steaks with salt, cut into serving pieces, and enjoy!

This recipe comes courtesy of Dr. Paul’s The Carnivore Code Cookbook.

That’s all from us this week 👋
