When looking to improve your health dramatically, it’s easy to fall into the trap of looking for a quick fix.
The key to your health likely won’t be found in a specific product you saw on Facebook or a fad diet claiming to cure all of your woes quickly.
Instead, lasting change comes from taking control (over the long term) of your diet and lifestyle. You may even need to address hidden environmental factors that can lead to illness.
Not to mention, you have to truly understand your motivations and be willing to make changes where necessary.
We have developed a 7-step process based on ancestral and scientific principles to help you reclaim your health and thrive!
As Ste Lane outlines in this episode of Radical Health Radio, these 7 steps include:
Step #1: Eat Organs Daily
Step #2: Eliminate Processed Foods
Step #3: Build Healthy Habits
Step #4: Dial In Your Diet
Step #5: Push Yourself Physically
Step #6: Level Up
Step #7: Achieve Your Why
This process is not a quick fix but can dramatically improve your health and well-being. If you want to break free from the constant cycle of dieting and wasting money on products, consider committing to these steps!
7 Steps to Radical Health (What Are They? Why Do They Matter?)
You may come from a standard Western lifestyle of processed foods and limited exercise. Or you already exercise consistently and eat whole, unprocessed foods, but your relationships are suffering, and you’ve failed to consider challenges like environmental toxins.
While the journey looks different for everyone, here are the 7 steps we suggest to transform your health.
Step #1: Eat Organs Daily
Is incorporating organ meats into your diet the most impactful decision for your health that you’ll ever make? No!
But organ meats are nutritional powerhouses containing crucial vitamins and minerals for optimal health. Adding organ meats to your diet is a simple change that can provide vitamin A, biotin, riboflavin, copper, selenium, and other important nutrients!
We always suggest sourcing fresh organs if you can! Check out a site like Eat Wild to find farmers in your area.
Thousands of people, such as Alyssa A., have also found benefits from our supplements, which contain freeze-dried organ meats.
Here’s what she had to say about Beef Organs:
Step #2: Eliminate Processed Foods
The dietary habits of a typical human have changed dramatically in the last 100+ years.
People used to primarily consume whole foods like meat, seafood, fruit, vegetables, and dairy products (1, 2). Today, the intake of omega-3, protein, calcium, fruits, vegetables, and antioxidants is down (3)!
Now, highly processed foods are cheap, hyper-palatable, and readily available in most areas. Chips, breads, pastries, artificially sweetened beverages, and candies line the shelves of just about every grocery store.
While they may be delicious, these foods are known to harm your health!
Western diets rich in processed foods are a risk factor for chronic diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and cancer (4).
Removing highly processed foods from your diet can work wonders for your energy levels, body weight, and so much more!
Step #3: Build Healthy Habits
This step will look different for everyone, but we suggest focusing on these basics:
- Prioritize sleep
- Spend time in nature
- Focus on stress reduction
- Incorporate daily light movement, such as walking
- Find time to play & forge meaningful connections
While these steps are simple, they can easily slip away due to working indoors, increased use of technology, and other modern lifestyle habits.
Each of these habits is interconnected and can significantly impact your health! Instead of your energy being drained from poor sleep or processed foods, each of these implementations allows you to recharge and live a more ancestrally aligned lifestyle.
Step #4: Dial In Your Diet
Step four enables you to understand better how certain foods impact your health.
For many people we work with, it may not be enough just to eliminate processed foods.
Some people also benefit from reducing their intake of leaves, stems, nightshades, and seeds (nuts, grains, and legumes). These foods contain defense chemicals that may trigger digestive issues or autoimmune symptoms.
Do you feel like you thrive with vegetables in your diet? That’s totally fine!
But, if you’ve already cut out processed foods and are still experiencing significant issues, taking a closer look at certain plant foods or even the type of meat you’re consuming may be helpful.
We primarily suggest the animal-based diet, which prioritizes well-raised meat and organs along with low-toxicity carbohydrate sources like fruit, honey, and dairy.
Step #5: Push Yourself Physically
It’s important to be intentional with your workout routine by focusing on high-quality movement while emphasizing rest and recovery. The goal is not to destroy yourself in the gym day after day.
If you’re new to working out, start by mastering the basics like push-ups, air squats, or pull-ups. You could then move on to weightlifting sessions with a personal trainer, at your home gym, or in a group setting.
Not into lifting weights? Maybe you can become a member at the local yoga studio, try martial arts, or join a weekly basketball league.
Exercising should not feel like a chore! It should be challenging but enjoyable and viewed as a reward for your mind and body.
Step #6: Level Up
Just as the human diet has changed dramatically, so has the typical home, work, or school environment. This new environment consists of the following:
- More time spent indoors
- Excessive time in front of phones or other electronics
- Consuming contaminated water or food
- Exposure to mold toxins and heavy metals
Each of these can take a devastating toll on your health, yet they’re often overlooked or ignored.
So, what does it mean to level up?
The idea is to take action against these challenges by filtering your water, choosing cleaner personal care products, spending less time on devices, or getting out of a moldy apartment.
Step #7: Achieve Your Why
The final step is arguably the most important of them all.
If you’re clear on your why from the beginning, it makes it much easier to overcome any challenges you encounter.
When your health is not where it needs to be, it’s easy for your goals and passions to fall by the wayside. Goals and passions like building a family, a business, or pursuing a lifelong dream seem much more within reach when your mind and body thrive.
Improved health allows you to be an example for others, increase your happiness, and foster a deeper connection to your loved ones and respective communities.
